I bought this product through Amazon before I knew about Treeline's website and I have been very pleased. I wanted a guard that wasn't so bulky it got in the way, but also something that provided a little more protection than just some tape. I usually wear a size large glove but after reading the reviews, I got the size medium and I am glad I did. When I first put the guard on it was a bit tight and uncomfortable were the seams rounded my finger (I almost gave up on it right then), but after about three carving sessions it fits beautifully! The leather now forms to my thumb and is soft against my skin. The elastic keeps the guard in place and so far I have not needed to readjust it during a session. I would recommend this any fellow spoon carvers with the advice to just give it time to break in.
