    modified by taking out the sponge padding inside of the cover and made a wooden knife holder that I glued inside of the knife cover. The original material was not safe. You had to be very careful putting you knife inside the sheath. Very easy for the knife to blow out the side of the sheath. With the modification, it is pretty much the same as a Helvie knife cover, just not as fancy but much safer.

    The knife cover looks great. I would give it a 5 if the insert had a hole for the blade. Now you have to line up the blade to cut a slot for the blade. This isn't easy to get it centered.

    They are better than nothing but very bulky when storing knives
