They are made in the USA from extra heavy, water resistant canvas and are sewn with extra gussets for durability. The chip pouch stays open with the help of a removable vinyl insert.     This apron is the best thing since sliced bread. It changed my carving game, I can sit in the living room and enjoy carving without concern about where the chips are going. This apron catches them all. When finished for the day I can easily dump them into a dedicated bucket until enough are collected then use them in the bottom of a planter when the houseplants get re-potted. This apron catches them all. I will soon upgrade to the apron with the leather patch. For now I have no complaints about the canvas apron. Fast ship, excellent customer service. I am very happy.

    Chip control is good (my wife thanks you!).
    The small openings at the fold allows small chips to exit. The Velcro could be placed better to stop this.
    The strap around the neck sometimes works itself loose from the grommet. This is another place where Velcro could be used.
    Overall, this is a good investment for my carving. Thank you.
