The New Arbortech SpheroPlane allows you to make a wooden bowl or ball without the need of a lathe. The Spheroplane attaches to most angle grinders and allows you to adjust the blade to create different curves. You can adjust the blade to be able to carve concave surfaces like you would for shaping the inside of the bowl and then adjust it again to shape the convex or outside profile of a bowl or sphere.
Like with many tools, there is a bit of a learning curve to using the SpheroPlane, but before long you will be able to transform a rustic piece of wood into a refined masterpiece. Be sure to watch all the related videos that will demonstrate best how to use the SpheroPlane.
The SpheroPlane is compatible with the Arbortech Power Carving Unit or with most 4 1/2" angle grinders that have a 5/8" spindle.
The SpheroPlane comes with the SpheroPlane Carving Attachment, Flexible Sanding Pad, 4 each of the 40, 80, 120 and 240 grit sanding discs, and hard carrying case.
