1 1/2" DHK Carving Knife

Love this knife. Quality is great.

I’m a beginner carver. I bought this knife to do simple whittling projects and learn techniques. This is my second knife-my first knife was a lower quality and cheaper brand. This Deep Holler knife has made all the difference in how fast I am learning and how much fun I am having. Easy to handle and stays sharp. Works fast if I am just removing wood but is extremely precise for those detail cuts. I really can’t see how a knife can be better than this. I bought the 1 3/8 knife too, and I’m just as happy with that. These knives must be made by dedicated craftsmen who care about their products.
And Treeline USA provided great service too.

Recently purchased the1.5 flat grind detail knife. Love it, its a game changer from what I had been using. Can't wait to add to my collection!

This Deep Holler 1 1/2” carving knife has a narrow blade and flat grind. Cuts the basswood I use beautifully; keeps sharp for a longer period of time. The red cedar handle is very light weight and looks real nice. It is rather long (5+”) with square edges which was somewhat uncomfortable, so I sanded it with my belt sander to a shorter and more comfortable grip.
It’s one of my favorite “go-to” knives.

I was a little concerned about buying a new knife. I was pleasantly ecstatic about this knife. Blade is sharp and stays sharp. All I have had to do is strap it. I am looking forward to purchasing many more these tools.

What can I say, after trying a DHK carving knife, I became a fanatic and decided to buy pretty much every length of blade and I'm quite happy I did.

Great knife, thin blade, sharp, flat grind. My favorite knife to use now. I wish the handle was fatter because I have big hands. I can bulk it up but I hate hiding the beautiful cedar handle.
